In a world where everything accelerates, where images flash up like a flutter of lashes, some images linger on a fragmented memory, where each look, too fast, becomes a reminiscence without contour, a pure sensation. These images do not capture the instant in its perfection, but in its loss, in what withers even before it is fully seen. Here, the image does not tell, it evokes, it grazes, it recalls. It is a capricious memory, which would only retain the beauty it has already lost.
Silhouettes emerge, faces slip away. We think we recognize them, yet can never name them. These figures seem to belong to memories that may not even be our own. They carry an allure : a beauty, a presence, the promise of a distant place we long to reach. Just as they are about to vanish, they elude us. They become projections, as if the images themselves held a nostalgia for something we never actually experienced.
This photographic series seeks to capture that which becomes eternal even as it slips away: the near-nothingness that nonetheless imprints itself upon our minds as a lingering presence. The work offers a dreamlike realm, a space of altered perception where blur becomes language and imprecision a form of palpable truth. Amidst this flux, something remains : the echo of a memory, fleeting yet desired, a sensation that had passed but now returns. Here, reality stretches out in a slow, invented pace, as if resisting oblivion.
